Estate planning legal support

Estate document drafting from templates

Your precedents hold your judgment. The remaining work is careful population against the client's actual facts and a consistency check across the set — names, fiduciaries, dispositive provisions and beneficiary designations that all have to agree.

What you receive

A complete estate plan document set drafted from your templates and the client's intake facts.

  • A complete document set drafted from your templates: will, trust, powers and directives as instructed
  • Dispositive provisions drafted to the intake instructions, with contingencies addressed
  • Fiduciary appointments and successors populated consistently across every document
  • A funding checklist where a trust is involved, listing assets and the retitling each needs
  • An execution instruction sheet covering witnesses, notarisation and the jurisdiction's formalities
  • A query list of intake gaps and internal contradictions found while drafting

What it costs, and what it replaces

Both figures are published ranges for the same unit of work. Ours is fixed before we start; if our process gets faster, that is our gain and your price does not move.

How the work runs

  1. 01

    Template intake

We work from your precedents rather than our own, so the drafting judgment encoded in your documents is preserved and the output looks like your firm's work.

  2. 02

    Population

Documents are populated from the intake with contingencies addressed explicitly: predeceasing beneficiaries, minor beneficiaries, simultaneous death, and successor fiduciaries.

  3. 03

    Cross-document consistency

Names, fiduciaries, dispositive provisions and defined terms are checked across the whole set, since the errors that matter are between documents rather than inside any one.

  4. 04

    Funding and execution

A funding checklist and an execution instruction sheet are prepared, and a qualified lawyer reviews the set against the intake before delivery.

What we need from you

  • Your firm's precedent documents
  • The client intake summary and asset list
  • The jurisdiction and any state-specific formalities to apply
  • Instructions on dispositive scheme and fiduciary appointments

What we check before delivery

  • Names, dates and relationships are verified identically across every document in the set
  • Contingent dispositions are checked for completeness, including the failure-of-all-beneficiaries case
  • Defined terms are checked for consistent use across documents
  • State-specific execution formalities are checked against the current requirement

When firms send us this

  • Estate practices running fixed-fee plans at volume
  • Restatements and amendments needing consistency with the existing set
  • Firms whose drafting backlog has become the constraint on intake
  • Multi-document plans where cross-references are easy to get wrong

Questions about document drafting from templates

  • Do you advise on the estate plan?

No. Design, tax strategy and advice to the client are the engaging attorney's. We draft the documents from your templates and your instructions, and flag what looks internally inconsistent.

  • Can you work without our templates?

We can, but the result is better with them. Your precedents carry your firm's judgment; without them we are drafting from a generic form, and generic forms are what clients could have bought elsewhere.

  • Do you handle trust funding?

We produce the funding checklist asset by asset with the retitling each requires. Executing the transfers is the firm's, since it involves the client and third parties.
