How the work runs

Schema agreement
We agree the fields before abstracting, because an abstract built to the wrong schema has to be redone and one built to the right schema answers questions for years.

Full-document abstraction
Each contract is abstracted from the full document including amendments and side letters, which is where the rights actually granted usually differ from the base agreement.

Rights normalisation
Grants are normalised across contracts so territory, media and exclusivity are described consistently, which is the only way a portfolio table becomes comparable.

Dates and delivery
Notice windows, option dates and accounting periods are extracted into a calendar view, and the abstracts are delivered in your system's import format or as a structured file.

Can you import into our rights system?
Yes. Tell us the import format and the abstracts arrive ready to load rather than needing to be retyped.
What if amendments conflict with the base agreement?
The abstract records the operative position and flags the conflict with both clause references. Silently taking the later document is how rights get mis-recorded.
Do you interpret ambiguous grants?
We record what the text says and flag the ambiguity for your review. Interpretation is a legal judgment for the engaging attorney.
